Sloths

Two different species of the quirky looking sloth can also be found in Costa Rica: the brown-throated sloth and Hoffmann’s two-toed sloth. Sloths have an incredibly slow digestive system, which makes them really slow. This is why they evolved to save their energy as much as possible. They can sleep up to 20 hours a day and move very slowly..hence the name sloth!
