Each year, we expand our expedition cruise portfolio to explore Canada’s remote coastlines. In celebration of Canada Day, we are sharing the most exciting Canadian experiences that guests can participate on an expedition cruise with One Ocean Expeditions:
Tag: Baffin Island
Baffin Island is one of the last great wilderness regions on the planet. From Iqaluit, on Frobisher Bay, we explore the wild east coast of the biggest island Canada’s discovering the deep fjords, soaring mountains and immense glacial systems. We are constantly on the lookout for variety of birdlife and marine wildlife – including polar bears – the icon of the north. Visits to remote Inuit communities provide a fascinating glimpse into the daily life of the people who call this remote wilderness their home. A highlight will be a visit to Beechey Island as we follow Sir Franklin’s footsteps along Baffin Island and through Lancaster Sound. This is remote, small ship expedition cruising at its best.
